General situation of mouse biology
Rats, also known as rats or mice, are a kind of rodent superfamily, including hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice and other related animals. They are widely distributed in all continents except Antarctica. Because it is difficult to determine the relationship between taxa, there are also documents that classify all rodents into Rodentia.
According to the molecular systematics, there are about 280 genera and at least 1300 species. They are one of the few animal groups that keep close contact with human beings and thrive. These animals can be found in almost all countries in the world.
