Does 70-year-old Shanghai Airlines need a health certificate to fly? What if it's not?

(1) Elderly passengers do not need to provide a diagnosis certificate if they have no disease and can take care of themselves. If you are over 70 years old, illiterate or don't understand the language, you need to fill in the application form for special passengers (the elderly) and handle it according to the transportation regulations for ordinary passengers. (There is no restriction on the transportation of such passengers).

(2) Elderly passengers who are weak, unable to take care of themselves and need wheelchairs are regarded as sick passengers. When such passengers apply for flight, they should provide the diagnosis certificate and fill in the flight application form for special passengers (elderly patients) before HNA can accept transportation (such passengers are restricted from transportation). Semi-self-care elderly travelers traveling alone are restricted, while those accompanied by adults are not.

(3) Elderly passengers suffering from cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and asthma that are not suitable for flying are generally not suitable for air travel. If they apply to fly, they should provide the diagnosis certificate suitable for flying and fill in the application of special passengers (elderly patients) to fly, otherwise HNA will refuse to carry (strictly limit the transportation of such passengers). Elderly passengers suffering from the above-mentioned diseases will be at their own risk if they conceal the consequences caused by their illness during the flight.

This is for HNA's reference. Shanghai Airlines can specifically check customer service.
