On February 28th, 20 19, the Basic Medical Care and Health Promotion Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) was reviewed and adopted at the 15th meeting of the 13th NPC Standing Committee in People's Republic of China (PRC), and was formally implemented on June 28th, 2020. This Law is formulated for the purpose of developing medical and health undertakings, ensuring citizens to enjoy basic medical and health services, improving citizens' health level and promoting the construction of a healthy China.
It covers all aspects of basic medical and health services, from disease prevention and control to medical service provision, and then to health promotion and education, which provides a solid legal guarantee for the health of the whole people. The implementation of this law marks that China's health and health undertakings have entered a new stage of development, which is of great significance for improving the national health level and promoting economic and social development.
