1946 On July 22nd, the United Nations Economic and Social Council held the International Health Assembly in new york. Representatives from more than 60 countries signed the WHO Charter, which came into effect on April 7th. 1948. To commemorate the adoption day of the organization's charter, the World Health Organization was formally established at the first United Nations World Health Assembly held in Geneva in June 1948, and decided to designate July 22nd as World Health Day every year, encouraging countries to hold various commemorative activities. The following year, the Second World Health Assembly decided from 1950 that April 7th would be the global "World Health Day". Considering that schools in most countries have summer holidays in July every year, they cannot participate in this celebration.
