Breast nodules are very common in clinic and are a description of medical images. It is not the name of a disease, let alone a cancer. In fact, breast nodules are mostly benign, including breast fibroma, breast cyst, breast lipoma and so on. Only a few nodules are malignant.
1. What are the chances of breast nodules getting worse?
Breast B-ultrasound is the most commonly used method to find breast nodules, and it is also one of the methods for general screening of female breast cancer. According to the boundary, echo type, blood flow signal and density of nodules in imaging, abnormal gland signals are graded. Generally, the higher the level, the greater the possibility of malignancy.
Nodules of grade A, 1 to grade 3 are unlikely to be malignant;
Grade B and Grade IV are divided into three grades: 4a, 4b and 4c. The possibility of malignant grade 4a nodules is: 50%;
Grade c and grade 5 are highly suspected of malignancy, and the possibility of malignancy is >; 95%, grade 4 and grade 5 all need biopsy to confirm the pathology;
The pathological diagnosis of grade D and grade 6 is malignant lesions, which should be surgically removed as soon as possible.
