On another occasion, General Li's wife was very ill and sent someone to invite Hua Tuo to see her. General Li said in surprise: "She did fall and get hurt, but she had a miscarriage and the fetus had fallen." Hua tuo went on to say, "according to my pulse, there is still a fetus in my belly." General Li doesn't believe it. After a few days, the patient got worse and then came to Huatuo for treatment. After feeling the pulse, Hua Tuo said to them, "The pulse is similar to what I saw last time. Could be twins. There was too much bleeding when the first child miscarried, which caused the second child not to come. Now I have to use acupuncture and soup to induce labor. " Hua Tuo gave General Li's wife an injection and drank some soup. The patient's stomach ached like giving birth, but the fetus didn't come down. Hua tuo judged that the stillbirth had been in the uterus for too long and could not come down, so he had to take it out manually. He asked general Li to find a midwife to massage and explore, and sure enough, he took out a stillbirth.
Once, Hua Tuo met two patients who both had headaches, and the symptoms were exactly the same. After taking the pulse, Hua Tuo decided that Ni Xun should take laxatives and Li Yan should take antiperspirants. Two patients recovered after taking the medicine given by Hua Tuo. Someone asked Hua Tuo why he used different medicines to treat the same disease. Hua tuo explained; "The root cause of Ni Xun is internal, so use laxatives; Li Yan's illness is caused by exogenous factors, so antiperspirants should be used. "
On another occasion, several people in Du Yan (now Yancheng County, Jiangsu Province) were drinking in a hotel, waiting for Hua Tuo's treatment. Hua Tuo came, greeted everyone, looked at everyone's faces, and then said to a man named Yan Xin, "I can see from your face that you are in a hurry. You'd better stop drinking too much and go home quickly. " Yan Xin listened with a grain of salt. Not too concerned. After a while, Yan Xin went home in a carriage, and just walked a few miles. Sure enough, her hair fainted and she fell off the car. Someone picked him up and sent him home, and he died soon.
Hua tuo is not only good at internal medicine and acupuncture, but also proficient in surgery. Made an important contribution to surgery. A patient felt a sharp pain in his stomach. After more than ten days, his temples and eyebrows fell off. His family sent him to Huatuo for treatment. Hua tuo pressed the patient's pulse, unbuttoned his clothes, pressed his stomach with his hand, and then carefully looked at the patient's look. After repeated observation and diagnosis, Hua Tuo believed that the patient's spleen was rotten and needed to be removed. He took out a pack of medicine called "Leprosy Powder" and let the patient drink it in wine. After a while, the patient fell asleep groggy. Hua tuo took out a scalpel and cut the patient's stomach. Sure enough, I saw that my spleen was half rotten. Hua tuo quickly cut off the rotten part, tied the left spleen with sterilized silk thread, sewed up the incision in the abdomen, coated it with special anti-inflammatory ointment and prescribed him some oral medicine. After a period of rest, the patient recovered completely.
The hemp boiling powder that Hua Tuo gave to patients is what we often say now. The patient lost consciousness after taking Mafeisan, which relieved the pain during the operation. Leprosy powder invented by Hua Tuo later spread to Korea, Japan, Arabia and other places. Hua Tuo's invention is a great contribution in the history of world medicine, which was more than 600 years before Europeans invented anesthetic.
In order to prevent diseases, Hua Tuo attached great importance to people's usual physical exercise. He believes that a person can get blood circulation, help digestion and prevent diseases by doing regular activities, just like the door shaft, because it often turns, it will not produce moths. Hua Tuo created a set of fitness techniques, which, like our current gymnastics, is called "Five Birds Play". It imitates the movements of five animals, such as tigers, deer, bears, apes and birds, turns limbs and waist, moves all joints and improves health. Hua Tuo's student Upp did as the teacher told him. When he was in his nineties, he still had bright ears and strong teeth. The creation of the Five Animals Drama is the result of Hua Tuo's summing up his previous fitness experience. Since the Qin and Han dynasties, some people who want to become immortals have imitated the movements of birds and beasts and practiced Qigong, which is called "guidance", hoping to live forever in this way. Hua Tuo abandoned the fantasy of cultivating immortals, absorbed the reasonable part of physical exercise, and then developed and improved it to become aerobics beneficial to people.
Cao Cao has been suffering from migraine. He heard that Hua Tuo's medical skill was brilliant, so he sent someone to ask Hua Tuo to treat him. After Hua Tuo diagnosed Cao Cao, he chose acupoints and gave Cao Cao a few injections, so his head stopped hurting. Cao Cao was very happy and wanted to keep Hua tuo so that he could be treated at any time. Hua tuo does not seek fame and wealth, and certainly does not want to serve Cao Cao alone. He wanted to go home on the pretext of receiving a letter from home. Hua tuo came home and said that his wife was ill and refused to go back to Cao Cao. Cao Cao repeatedly wrote to urge him to come back, but he simply ignored him. Cao Cao ordered the county magistrate to go, but Hua Tuo always made excuses not to leave. So Cao Cao was furious and sent someone to understand Hua Tuo's situation. He also ordered: if his wife is really ill, he will be given 40 welcome beans to relax the deadline; If it is false, arrest him and commit a crime. As a result, Hua tuo was arrested.
Hua Tuo was put into prison and was soon sentenced to death by Cao Cao. Before his execution, Hua Tuo took out several medical books and gave them to the person in charge of the prison, saying, "There are prescriptions in them that can cure diseases and save lives. Stay here! " But the person in charge of the prison dared not accept it. Hua tuo sighed and burned the book with a torch. In the 13th year of Jian 'an (AD 208), Hua Tuo was killed innocently, which brought immeasurable losses to the development of medicine in China. This is a big mistake made by Cao Cao in his life.
