What are the common vaginitis?

Vaginitis is the most common inflammation of female reproductive organs, which can occur at all ages.

Infantile vaginitis: more common in 1 ~ 5 years old infants. It is often caused by crawling on the ground or entering foreign objects, and can also be spread by children's mothers or washing products. The main manifestations are vulvar swelling, watery secretion in vagina and vulvar itching.

Senile vaginitis: more common in postmenopausal elderly women, also known as "atrophic vaginitis", which is characterized by increased leucorrhea and yellow water sample. In severe cases, purulent leucorrhea of blood sample, pruritus of vulva and burning sensation may occur.

Menstrual vaginitis: mostly caused by careless menstrual hygiene, especially vulvar infection caused by unclean menstrual products. It is characterized by falling and burning sensation in perineum and increased vaginal discharge.

Honeymoon vaginitis: more common in newly married women. Mainly ignoring sexual organs and sexual hygiene. It is characterized by increased leucorrhea, itching and pain inside and outside the vagina, and mucosal swelling.

Purulent vaginitis: more common in women with vaginal tear or birth injury. It is characterized by increased leucorrhea, yellow pus-like, fishy smell, vaginal burning pain and mucosal swelling.

Simple vaginitis: more common in postpartum and post-abortion injuries, long-term use of pessary and other mechanical stimulation or pyogenic bacteria infection. In addition, the infectious secretions of uterus or cervix often stimulate vaginal mucosa and can also cause simple vaginitis.

Trichomonas vaginitis: caused by trichomonas vaginalis infection, it is a common gynecological disease. It can be directly transmitted to women through male carriers during sexual intercourse, or indirectly transmitted through baths, swimming pools and medical devices.

Mycotic vaginitis: Mycotic vaginitis is caused by fungal infection and is generally spread through contact.
