Daquangou Central Primary School is a typical mountain village primary school. The students are all day students, and some children are far from home. In the past, they had to bring their own buns for lunch, and they used cold water to solve it at school, so they didn't have time to go home. Later, in order to solve the problem of children's lunch, the school simply charged fees and finally solved this long-standing problem. The arrival of nutritious meals is even more encouraging, and children can eat a delicious meal every day without paying fees. The teachers and parents were very happy, and the children also smiled happily, saying that they had caught up with the good times. However, being far from home is a real problem. In order to let the children go home early, the school can only shorten the class time and compress the lunch break. In this way, the management of students at noon has become an urgent problem.
In recent years, in order to ensure the safety of students at noon, the school has tried various ways to arrange various activities, such as big reading, calligraphy practice, classic reading, etc., using one hour and twenty minutes (school ends at noon 12, and classes begin at two o'clock, excluding meals for 40 minutes). This arrangement has achieved remarkable results, but the teachers and leaders on duty are very hard. This semester, in order to reduce the burden on the duty staff, the school has made great efforts to reform the midday student activities, and each teacher only takes up one midday time every week, which is convenient for teachers to decompress and make the midday student activities more effective.
This is how the school's midday activities are arranged. The reading time on Mondays and Wednesdays is from 12: 40 to 1: 30, while Tuesdays and Thursdays are poetry and painting time, and the remaining half an hour is spent practicing calligraphy. On Friday, at noon, it was arranged as a moral lecture hall. Activities from Monday to Thursday are divided into senior group and junior group, so there are two teachers in charge of activities at noon every day. The school divides teachers into five groups according to their hobbies and specialties. Teacher Che Xiaoxia and I are in charge of the poetry and painting activities on Tuesday afternoon. This arrangement greatly improves the enthusiasm of teachers, because there is only one opportunity to guide students every week. Therefore, teachers have made careful preparations to better guide students. Children have made extra efforts and intentions because they have different teachers to guide themselves every day.
This Tuesday is my second week of poetry and painting with my children. I want to see how deep the children's skills are, so in the past two weeks, I have arranged for the children to choose their own stories to draw. Needless to say, in recent years, I have participated in the rainbow flower morning reading poetry and painting, and the children have painted well. After repeatedly telling them the requirements of poetry and painting, miracles also happened under the guidance, and excellent works shone in their works. The poetic expression is extremely perfect. After the painting was finished, I asked them to put it together for evaluation. The children quickly pointed out which works were good and which were not. Ask them why they are good or bad, and they also make it very clear. It is mainly because of this appraisal that children see the gap between themselves and others and have the opportunity to learn from it. Students who don't draw well feel sorry for their carelessness, and they also say that they must work hard next time and strive for Excellence.
Under the guidance of Mr. Che, the children in the lower grades have also completed a series of exquisite works. They flaunted their works everywhere in the corridor. When I praised them for being great, it was really fun to watch them dance. Children's growth is inseparable from our praise. I believe today's praise will make them better tomorrow.
I don't know how Mr. Duan and Mr. Chen instructed their children to make poems and paintings on Thursday, and I don't know how the four teachers who guided reading made their children read. But I know that our teachers will treat this opportunity every week with care, and I know that each of our teachers will try their best to teach their children the best things in terms of paying attention to their children's growth and improving their abilities!
