EPDM particles are composed of EPDM polymer, which has high aging resistance, ultraviolet resistance, corrosion resistance and temperature resistance. They are usually used in sports fields and sidewalks.
TPV plastic particles are usually composed of thermoplastic elastomer and polypropylene, which have high wear resistance and oxidation resistance, as well as high elasticity and flexibility. They are usually used in the field of automobile parts and seals.
The key technology of preparing TPV thermoplastic elastomer material is dynamic full vulcanization technology: it refers to the process that when thermoplastic resin and rubber are melted and mixed, the rubber phase is chemically crosslinked under the action of crosslinking agent, and with the help of strong mechanical shearing, it is sheared and broken into a large number of micron-sized crosslinked rubber particles, which are dispersed in the continuous phase of thermoplastic resin. When melting and mixing PP as hard segment and EPDM as soft segment, cross-linking agent is added to vulcanize it, and the particles of fully vulcanized EPDM cross-linked rubber are fully dispersed in micron-sized (1 micron or less) PP matrix by using high shear force of internal mixer, screw machine and other machinery.
