But I think many people are hearing the word "phase" for the first time, so what is phase?
Simply put, it is the angle formed between planets. There are good and bad angles between planets in the interpretation of astrolabe. The phase of the planet can show that the personality of the astrolabe owner may be fully and actively exerted in some aspects, and it can also reveal some aspects, and the astrolabe owner may feel psychological pressure and tension.
Many astrologers will get stuck in the bottleneck of phase learning when they get started. Planetary phases can't be learned overnight. What you need is your time and understanding. And once you can skillfully use the phase interpretation in the astrolabe, congratulations, you have the ability to roughly analyze the astrolabe.
Phase is the way of energy transfer between planets. To be familiar with the phase, you must first be familiar with the symbols of the planets.
When drawing the astrolabe with different software, you will find that the length and color of these phases are different, and if you look closely, you will find that the depth or reality of the same color is different. Therefore, there are categories of stages.
Why are there no phase displays between some planets?
It is difficult to see all the phases on the star map. You can only merge the phases by enlarging them, and then keep the important phases.
There are also primary and secondary stages.
Let's look at these stages.
Confluence: It means that the degree distance between two planets is less than 8 degrees (the conjunction of the sun and the moon can be 10 degrees), which is a quite influential phase, so it is listed as the main phase, which means that the two planets form a single force group. The principle of judging good or bad is based on the good or bad characteristics of the planet itself, so the attribute of conjunction belongs to neutrality.
Semi-quartile (also called "semi-penalty"): refers to the degree distance between two planets, which is 45 degrees apart from each other and has a weak influence, so it is listed as a secondary phase, similar in nature to 90 degrees, but less than 90 degrees in intensity.
Hexagonal phase (also known as "Liuhe"): refers to the degree distance between two planets, which is 60 degrees apart from each other. It is a powerful auspicious sign, which will bring benefits, but its influence is still not as good as 120 degrees. What has certain influence is the main phase.
Quadrilateral (also called "punishment"): refers to the degree distance between two planets, which is 90 degrees away from each other. It is a rather powerful face loss, and its strength is weaker than 180 degrees. However, if the essence of its strength is purely a face loss, it will lead to disharmony, inclination and friction between planets. 180 degrees is a loss of face, but it is more or less an opportunity. Because 180 degrees has complementary characteristics, 90 degrees does not, so 90 degrees is more fierce than 180 degrees. It is also listed as the main stage.
Three phases (also called "triad" or "arch"): refers to the degree distance between two planets, which is 120 degrees apart from each other. This is the most influential auspicious aspect, so it can bring harmony, comfort and help to the planet.
Three-eighth phase (also known as "penalty triangle"): refers to the degree distance between two planets, which is 135 degrees apart from each other. It is a second loss of face, not as strong as 90 degrees, representing obstacles and difficulties.
Diphase (also called "thrust"): refers to the degree distance between two planets, which is 180 degrees apart from each other. It is a very powerful stage, so it is listed as the main stage. Although this phase will bring the loss of face of struggle, quarrel, engagement and conflict between planets, it is different from 90 degrees, it has the power of dialectical unity, and it has the potential to open up a new situation in the process of conflict. If used properly, evil can be turned into good.
In addition to the above nine primary and secondary phases, there are many secondary phases in astrology. But in general, it is often used from time to time. These phases include: 18 degrees, 24 degrees, 36 degrees, 40 degrees, 72 degrees, 108 degrees, 144 degrees, etc. , not discussed here.
