The theme of the exhibition in Finland is "Inspiration Sharing". By encouraging the public to exchange views and interact, we can seek the overall well-off life plan and further explore ways to improve urban life. "Abundance, intelligence and environment" is regarded as the core element of the theme and will be presented to the world from the perspective of Finland at the 20 10 Shanghai World Expo.
The press conference revealed the design scheme of Finland Pavilion, covering an area of 3,000 square meters, adjacent to Lupu Bridge, with a total investment of 6,543,800 euros. The Finnish Pavilion is called Curling. From the outside, the whole Finland Pavilion looks like an island standing in the water. This design stands out from the 104 design schemes publicly collected by the Finnish government. "Curling" clearly reflects Finland's professional technology. Six pillars symbolizing freedom, creativity, innovation, communication, health and nature support the exhibition hall and create a reasonable internal space. The unique design style and architectural skills of "Curling" bring people into a free and innovative future society.
When visitors step into the exhibition hall, they will feel like entering a courtyard with flowing water and rocks, and they can see blue sky and white clouds when they look up. The video screen on the wall in the exhibition hall shows the unique islands and oceans in Finland. Visitors can also experience the traditional Finnish sauna, taste Finnish food and participate in Finnish cultural activities in the Finland Pavilion. The Finnish Pavilion is expected to have about 65,438+08,000 to 25,000 visitors every day. The Finnish Pavilion is scheduled to open at the end of February 2009.
The "Curling" scheme is inspired by the island reefs and fish scales that can be seen everywhere in Finland, and the round earth buildings designed by China and Fujian. Therefore, the Finland Pavilion will adopt a hollow design with a graduated surface, aiming at providing visitors with a quiet harbor close to nature. Transparent plastic film will be installed on the roof of Finland Pavilion, which can shelter from the rain in rainy days and be put away in sunny days.
With the announcement of the design scheme of Finland Pavilion, on the afternoon of April 22, 2009, the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and the Finland Pavilion team of 20 10 Shanghai World Expo held the foundation stone laying ceremony of Finland Pavilion in Shanghai World Expo. A cornerstone of curling was buried in the foundation of Finland Pavilion, and together with curling rising in Ran Ran, Chinese and foreign guests were invited to Finland Pavilion to "share inspiration". Mauri Pekkarinen, Minister of Employment and Economy of Finland, Hong Hao, Deputy Secretary-General of Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Director of Shanghai World Expo Coordination Bureau, and Hu Yi, General Representative of Finnish Government for Expo 20 10 attended the groundbreaking ceremony.
The theme of the Finland Pavilion is "richness, intelligence and environment", just like the curling stand in the water. Its "pure and clean" design style will bring people into a free and innovative future society. The Finnish Pavilion is supported by six pillars symbolizing freedom, creativity, innovation, communication, health and nature, and supports the Finnish people's understanding of the concept of "good life".
Covering an area of 3,000 square meters, Finland Pavilion is located at the intersection of Lupu Bridge and elevated pedestrian walkway in the Expo site, adjacent to the Expo site of the subway 13 line under construction. The slogan of Finland's participation in Expo 20 10 is "inspiration sharing", which means that inspiration brings innovation and pays attention to interaction and cooperation. Finland will perfectly interpret the theme of Expo 20 10-"Better City, Better Life" from the perspective of "richness, intelligence and environment".
Finland Pavilion is committed to becoming a model of sustainable architecture, and the exterior of "Curling" will use scale decorative materials with modern flavor specially designed for it. This decorative material will be made of innovative UPM ProFi wood-plastic composite, and its main raw materials are waste paper and plastic. The total budget of Finland's participation in the World Expo project is 6,543.8+03.7 million euros, of which 75% is raised by the Finnish government and the remaining 25% is jointly funded by the partner * * *.
