In China, healthy citizens are encouraged to donate blood for free. Healthy citizens need to bring their ID cards when donating blood for the first time. If you have donated blood in the past, you only need to bring a blood donation card in the future. Because the blood donation card has the name, blood type, previous blood donation time and dosage, you can donate blood normally at this time.
In addition, there are also precautions when donating blood. Don't donate blood on an empty stomach, because donating blood on an empty stomach can easily induce adverse reactions such as hypoglycemia. Some people will have dizziness, sweating, palpitation, chest tightness and other discomfort. At the same time, don't eat high-fat, high-calorie and greasy food when donating blood, because the content of blood lipid will increase when donating blood, which will affect the quality of blood.
Citizens shall abide by the following provisions when donating blood:
1. Fill in the blood donation registration form truthfully, and do not lie or conceal the past medical history;
2, a blood donation is generally 200 ml, not more than 400 ml, and the interval between two collections is not less than 6 months;
3. After the blood donation physical examination, participate in blood donation at the specified time.
Article 9 of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Blood Donation Law * * * Blood stations must conduct necessary health checks for blood donors free of charge; If the physical condition does not meet the requirements for blood donation, the blood station shall explain the situation to it and shall not collect blood. The physical health conditions of blood donors shall be stipulated by the administrative department of health of the State Council. The amount of blood collected by a blood station from a blood donor at a time is generally 200 ml, which shall not exceed 400 ml at most, and the interval between two collections shall not be less than six months. It is strictly forbidden for blood stations to collect blood from blood donors in excess and frequently in violation of the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
Article 15 In order to ensure the needs of citizens for clinical emergency blood use, the state advocates and guides patients undergoing elective surgery to store their own blood, and mobilizes families, relatives and friends, units and society to help each other donate blood. In order to ensure emergency blood use, medical institutions may collect blood temporarily, but the safety of blood collection shall be ensured in accordance with the provisions of this law.
