Can the pet doctor take the exam by himself?

Pet doctors can take the exam themselves. Those who need to obtain a veterinary license or an assistant veterinary license, and have a college degree or above in veterinary medicine, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine recognized by the education administrative department of the State Council, or have a professional title or above in veterinary medicine, can apply for the exam.

The work of a pet doctor:

(1) Ask the owner or caretaker about the pet's medical history, conduct physical examination, write medical records and record medical records;

(2) Implementing laboratory testing, imaging, puncture technology and other diagnostic procedures;

(3) Analyze laboratory test reports and results, make a diagnosis, and determine and implement pet medical programs, such as surgery, tissue and organ transplantation, midwifery, delivery, dental restoration, radiotherapy, ultrasound interventional biopsy, and traditional Chinese medicine methods.

(4) Write a prescription to explain the pet's feeding requirements and nursing methods to the pet owner or nursing staff;

(6) Consultation or referral of difficult pet cases;

(7) Observe the changes of pet's condition after operation and take corresponding treatment measures;
