Pet classification of plastic bottles

The pet grade of plastic bottles can be divided into fiber grade PET and non-fiber grade PET.

Among them, non-fiber polyester is also used in bottles and films, and is widely used in packaging industry, electronic appliances, medical care, construction, automobiles and other fields. According to viscosity, it can be divided into water bottle grade (viscosity 0.80), oil bottle grade (viscosity 0.83), hot filling (viscosity 0.78) and carbonated beverage bottle (viscosity 0.87).

PET plastic bottles are not only widely used to package carbonated drinks, drinking water, fruit juice, enzymes and tea drinks, but also widely used in food, chemical industry, drug packaging and many other fields.

PET plastic is widely used in packaging field, and both packaging film and coil are made of PET plastic. But when these materials are discarded, they are faced with the problem of how to deal with them. China produces tens of billions of PET plastic bottles every year. It is estimated that by 2005, more than 500,000 tons of PET will be used to make PET plastic bottles every year.

Advantages of pets

It has good mechanical properties, the impact strength is 3~5 times that of other films, and the folding resistance is good; Oil resistance, fat resistance, olefin acidity resistance, dilute alkali resistance and most solvents resistance.

The heat resistance of pure PET is not high, and the thermal deformation temperature is only about 85℃, but it is greatly improved after strengthening treatment. The mechanical properties of glass fiber reinforced PET are similar to those of engineering plastics such as PC and PA, and the thermal deformation temperature can reach 225℃.

Good thermal aging resistance, brittleness temperature of -70℃, and toughness at -30℃; Low gas and water vapor permeability, excellent gas, water, oil and odor resistance; High transparency, blocking ultraviolet rays and good gloss; Non-toxic, tasteless, hygienic and safe, and can be directly used for food packaging.
