Eight Outlooks for a Smart World Towards Future 2030
Focusing on the needs of human social development, Huawei tries to explore Smart World 2030 to explore new opportunities for every person, family, and organization, and to create unlimited possibilities about the future. What will the future look like in 2030? Huawei proposes eight outlooks for the Smart World.
Outlook 1: Medical, making health calculable and life quality. Vision 7: Energy, green energy smarter, taking care of the blue planet. In 2030, energy will be greener and smarter. People can deploy new types of energy power plants near the sea and on the lake, and use virtual power plants and energy clouds to build an energy Internet with digitalization of the entire chain of "source network, load and storage", and zero-carbon data centers and zero-carbon sites are expected to become a reality.
Huawei predicts that by 2030, global renewable energy production will account for 50% of total global power generation.
Outlook 8: Digital Trusted, digital technologies and rules shaping a trusted future. In 2030, digital trustworthiness will be a fundamental requirement for social infrastructure. Huawei predicts that by 2030: more than 50% of computing scenarios will use privacy-enhanced computing; 85% of enterprises will use blockchain technology.
Four Industry Outlooks Toward 2030
Wang Tao also presented four industry outlooks toward 2030 for communication networks, computing, digital energy, and smart car solutions.

First, communication network 2030. From connecting tens of billions of people to connecting hundreds of billions of things, a green, three-dimensional, ultra-wide network that is intelligent, native, secure and reliable, and has the ability to converge with deterministic experience and communication perception is the direction of the future development.
Huawei predicts that the number of global connections will reach 200 billion; per capita monthly wireless cellular network traffic will reach 600GB, a 40-fold increase; IPv6 address penetration will reach 90%; the penetration rate of Gigabit and above home broadband users will reach 55%, a 50-fold increase; and the average monthly home network traffic will reach 1.3TB, an 8-fold increase.
Second, Computing 2030.
