The War Crazies are the alien civilization that has had the greatest documented impact on the GFFA in the history of Star Wars. They are a peculiar race of pure biotechnology, and everything they use in science and technology, from spaceships and ships to military weapons and civilian tools, are all biotech creations, and the War Crazies are extremely hostile to mechanical civilizations.
The fact that their biotechnology has come to this state may have something to do with their home planet, Yuuzhan'tar. Yuuzhan'tar is not so much a planet as it is a planet-sized strange creature that possesses intelligence and life, as well as the ability to reproduce planetary offspring. From the war-tar had helped the ancestors of the war-mad to transform living weapons. The descendants of the Battle Tower, the intelligent planet Zona Masekot, had spawned a number of Battle Madness bio-ships from within themselves to provide them with to fight the Battle Madness when they helped the Galactic Alliance and the Jedi who had been invaded by the Battle Madness.
The technology of the BattleMad is strange and counterintuitive, but equally effective. These aliens develop organic technology. All of their devices are bioengineered life forms, grown and molded to fit their needs. The war-mad believe that inorganic technology - machines, devices, and especially robots - are abominations and blasphemy. One of the devices used by the war-mad is the "shapeshifting staff", a serpentine whip. It can harden into a rock-solid club or flatten into a razor-sharp blade. They also use "bludgeon bugs" in battle, which are small insects that can be thrown and exploded at the touch of a button. War Crazies wear Vonduin Crab Armor, a living animal armor that protects the warrior in battle. It can even briefly withstand burst energy gun fire and lightsaber slashes. As the war with **** and the State and the Jedi escalated, the Battle Madman began to develop a new type of weapon against his enemies: the vicious Vorksin Beasts, which specialize in mercilessly hunting Jedi. Ooglith masquerade: A living "second skin" used to conceal physical features. Ooglith cloak: Similar to a visor, but with a transparent face mask, the ooglith cloak also protects the user from extreme temperatures. Gablith Mask [gablith masquer]: similar to the ooglith mask, but allows the user to disguise themselves as a Duro. Cognition Hood: Headgear for Coral Jumper pilots and other soldiers to receive commands from Armusk. Gnullith Suit [gnullith]: a soft, star-shaped creature with central tendrils that reach down the wearer's throat, allowing the user to move underwater; it uses the water in the user's body to breathe, and the user has access to oxygen. Baton of Rank: A shortened officer's version of the Stinging Serpent Staff, requiring more skill to maneuver. Coufee: A large, double-bladed weapon. Amphistaff: A snake-like organism that can withstand lightsabers. It is highly adaptable and can change shape, has a mouthful of fangs, and can secrete a special substance throughout its body to harden itself. Before hardening, it can narrow its neck and tail to become a blade that is as sharp as iron, which can only be blocked by Von Doorn's crab armor. The mouth of the Stinging Serpent Staff can also spray venom into the head of another person from a distance of seven meters, blinding the victim immediately and causing a slow and painful death as the venom seeps into the body. Lightsabers do not seem to be able to penetrate the Stinging Staff because the speed at which the Stinging Staff is able to medically treat itself is so fast that it seems to be able to block a lightsaber. The head of the Stick is its greatest weakness. In its hardened state it is used as a spear, in its soft state it is used as a whip. Onduun Crab: Dark in color, capable of deflecting light laser fire and the Stinging Serpent Staff, it is made into a thin, feathery membrane of personal armor that is self-repairing, but has an Achilles' heel in the armpits. Heavy Strike Bugs [thud bugs]: insect-like biological missiles.
Razorbugs [razorbugs]: creatures of dark blood that return to the thrower's hand when cast, buzz as they pass through the air, have armor, several pairs of legs and and fragile wings.
Blorash Jellyfish [blorash jelly]: used to bring enemies in combat to a standstill, these are not sentient and are more like plants, but can move and grab onto thermostatic organisms, though are unable to make active judgments on their own, so are used less often. Paeryin Monster Eye [plaeryin bol]: a creature that replaces an eyeball and spews venom. Tizowyrm Translator [tizowyrm]: creature that acts as a translation device, housed inside an ear. Neural Pulse Coral [surge-coral]: Living add-on containing a miniature dorwyn base that is added to bone as a neurotransmission│receiver, or can also be used as a "restraining" device. Dovin base [dovin basal]: Starships that encounter warring madmen are also living creatures. These ships are built of sturdy Yorick coral and are powered and defended by creatures called dovin basals. The Dovin Plinth can control gravity, projecting mini black holes to deflect or absorb incoming enemy fire. It is a blood-red heart-shaped creature with dark blue fixing spikes, capable of creating anomalous gravity points to surround itself and isolate itself from the outside world, thereby "propelling" worldships, battleships and coral jumpers. The three-meter-sized multilinear base that it grows into can also be used as a shield for fighters by creating small black holes.
Yorik Coral [yorik coral]: some sort of self-repairing biomaterial used to build worldships, battleships, and coral jumpers, and can be cultivated on planets altered with war-mad biomolecular technology. Combspore [coomb spores]: a biochemical toxin that is capable of reproducing or infecting itself, but can be detected by the Hilico Salamander. Other species of cysts include broloo [brolup] and taknai [tegnest]. Oligarch [grutchin]: half-meter long, black-winged, locust-like biological weapon that is incapable of rational thought, but is bred for destructive purposes and can only be re-bred by the "Matriarch". It can fly through space and hyperspace, and can survive for a long time by eating metal, but it is very dangerous to try to capture or control it once it is released. Dweebit: A reddish-brown beetle with hooked upper jaws and a tubular tongue, used to seed Eureka coral and other organisms on suitable worlds. Nagdin [ngdin]: slug-like creatures that absorb blood. Gricha: biochemically engineered insect that eats sand to expel the raw material for repairing armor, used to patch the floors of Grasho's Dwelling or Misho's Dwelling. Grashal: A large shell house used for living. Minshal: A small shell house used for living. Neuropulse coral implanter [surge-coral implanter]: small, gray, three-eyed, six-legged creature capable of walking on its side and possessing four additional attachments, all held up like flags, two stubby and two long and skinny, all behind its back, the latter capable of slicing through skin and cartilage, and the former capable of implanting neuropulse coral seeds, which quickly grow into full-head-sized calcareous masses. Oggzil Transmitter [oggzil]: a biochemically engineered creature with a long tail and attached claws that wraps around a Veli Normal Transmitter as a pairing, allowing the encounter insanity to relay messages from the Veli Normal Transmitter through new **** and frequencies. The creature eats an iron-rich diet that forms a bioconductive spine, making it a living antenna. Molleung Worms [molleung]: brown colored worms like diving tanks that can submerge ships to underwater bases. Tishwii leaves: flammable, used to "pre-purify" sacrificial victims. Tkun: A serpent-like creature with reddish fur, used to strangle victims during sacrifices. Ychna: Huge creature with breathing holes [breathing apparatus installed there] that can attach itself to any orbital base and cause great external damage. Tu-Scar and Sgauru: *** Biological creatures known as "knockers" and "biters". The former is a segmented keratin-like female with a sarek-like stomach and short forelegs, a pair of powerful pincers on the back capable of gripping onto anything as well as withstanding the force of preying on anything, and eats inorganic matter [especially rocks], discharging building material-like substances through the stomata on her side of the body. She is also capable of ramming or attacking buildings, and her pincers do not cause discomfort to the biter. The latter is sleek and more snake-like, eating the organic emissions of the knocker, able to wrap itself around buildings and grab fleeing organic lifeforms with its rapid head.
Velip Common Cybernetics Velip resemble mollusks, able to parasitize specific plants, creating nodules such as large berries, often growing in pairs. They are the product of war-mad biotechnology, and function like communicators and other communication devices. Newly hatched Velip are moist and off-white in color, while growing ones have ridged, hairy surfaces and range in size from baseballs to footballs. The nature of the Velip is such that it assumes a proximity that the user feels "triggered" or "consciously connected" [i.e., able to "receive communication" at any time]. The mode of transition is to stroke the backbone of the Velip, or to "flare the breathing hole" so that the membranous tissue opens up and creates a wrinkled eyelet, allowing the Velip to simulate connecting the two sides of the Velip. Velip as a cultivar can be found in the novel Dark Tide I: Onslaught: "Plants floating on the lake in rows of three │ with large blue triangular leaves │ with berries on stems the size of two men's heads │ the smaller ones are for tactical use │ the larger ones are specialized Velip │ they talk to each other." The Velip can open a hyperspace portal to other Velip, so that important information can be transmitted instantly. The transmitting Velip projects tachyons to the receiving Velip, converting stereoscopic images and sounds into their corresponding tachyon types, so that the compressed data cannot be eavesdropped on or decoded by the original technology. Velip often displays the data on different sized Eureka coral blastocysts. There are female war-mad officers in the Elite Force who take care of Velip, keeping track of whether or not they are connected or to whom, and answering communications when necessary. The Velip, when paired with an Ogresil Transponder, can convert and broadcast the communications transmitted by the Velip into the basic language through new **** and frequencies. There are basically two categories of Velip, the first [including Master-Slave, Exclusive Link and Tactical Velip] will convert the information into a stereo-like pattern for the receiver. The second [including ****vibrational Velip] will transmit to the receiver what the transmitter itself sees. Master/Subordinate Velip A large Velip that is capable of generating or "sprouting" numerous smaller Velip, and a high ranking war madman such as a Commander, High Overseer, or Priest who wishes to communicate with a deployed Velip can simply hold the Master Velip and give the Subordinate Velip to whoever needs it - this results in a ritual of sorts. -A ritual of sorts will be created at this point. A person with a Master Velip can also activate a Secondary Velip, but the Secondary Velip can only send a communication request to the Master, and it is up to the Master to decide whether or not to answer it. The Primary Velip transmits messages to those Secondary Velips that are "triggered" by the user, which means that the Secondary Velip always assumes that the user is "triggered". The Master, however, assumes that there is another Secondary Velip in use before it will connect. The Primary Velip can only communicate with one Secondary Velip at a time, and can also activate the Secondary Velip to monitor the user. The Secondary Velip can be used by the user as long as it is in possession of the Velip, but the power to connect to it remains with the Master. All Primary Velip can communicate with each other, but it is not necessary for the Secondary Velip to be able to connect to other Primary Velip, this can be accomplished by expanding the Primary Velip itself. Dedicated Velip Pairs of bonded Velip are like two-way radios, with a specific and unique frequency that is genetically triggered to the user - overseen by the Shaper and transferred in a grand ceremony by the Priests - such Velip will not receive other extraneous Velip. Velip will not pick up other extraneous sound messages. The dedicated Velip is like a baby clinging to its mother, and after cultivating the harvest and handing it over to the right person, this encounter of war madness will carry the Velip around for a period of time until the Velip absorbs the user's images│thinking modes, and then it will be able to transmit them to the Velip on the other end. In Vector Prime, Prefect Da'Gara and Danni Quee, who is close to the Helska 4 ship, have a dedicated Velip, which is triggered by Danni, but not to the extent that it allows Da'Gara to see images. Similarly there is a pair between Da'Gara and Yomin Carr, though it does not react to Luke or Mara - instead it only generates one-way communication. Tactical [Tactical Villips] Velip Small [softball-sized or smaller] non-variant generally portable velip, usually carried on the shoulder or forearm by a high-ranking encounter mad warrior or communications specialist as an instantaneous audio-visual communicator [such as a live camera or videophone]. A tactical variant similar to the Master-Slave would be more independent, sometimes only transmitting directly what the Velip itself sees, whereas the Battlemaster would have a master console that transmits what the soldier sees to him and relays the Battlemaster's orders to the soldier. ***Vibrating Villip [Villip Choirs] or Villids A form of ***Vibrating Villip consists of numerous subgenus ends that are capable of reconstructing the same image, similar to a holographic projector or flat signal display screen. Non-variant ***vibrating Villids receive messages from Villid beacons or relay beacons, equivalent to remote monitors, and are able to respond to battle madness commanders in the same way that communications systems or scanning arrays respond to input from communications officers and technicians. The second type produces a holographic projection of the image with yellow biotic light from a *** vibro-master, known as a light shaper. The ***Vibration Master Velip is a flat plate shaped and more gelatinous Velip creature, also known as a Velid. Yammosk, also known as the "War Coordinator", is a genetically engineered octopus-shaped creature with a dozen slimy tendrils - some short, some long - as well as large black eyes, a blue pulsating vein of communication, and a central, bulky tooth. It possesses the power of an ion cannon to penetrate deep beneath the planet's surface. It has mild telepathic powers, is capable of producing and training offspring, and has a ****ing biological relationship with the multi-striped base that propels the ship. Danni Quee has used her experience in intercepting and eavesdropping on enemy communications to detect the exchange of messages between an Armusk and a Coral Jumper using subtle gravitational modulation. [Gravity modulation is based on a setting that existed prior to Star Wars: all spacecraft have the ability to generate their own artificial gravity fields, allowing the land-based craft on them to use anti-gravity engines as well. The terminology here is the same, but it is used differently in the context of warring insanity]. Gravimetric amplitude modulation is similar to some sort of gravimetric Morse code, in that Ammosk sends a signal directly [or through a proprietary multilinear base] to a coral jumper or the like, who detects the amplitude modulation and passes the information through their own multilinear bases, where it is translated by the ship's centralized neural center network and sent to the cognitive helmet. Gravimetric AM is available to any ship that communicates with the Ammosk. Larger ships may have a dedicated officer who connects to the Multi-Pattern Docking Station with a Nerve Center Line, or it may be achieved by implanting a Pulsed Coral. Yuuzhan Vong Battleship Analog: Surprisingly large warships, larger than the Yuuzhan Vong Battleship, appear to be made of churning magma from the depths of immense volcanoes. Yuuzhan Vong Carrier Analog]: The main ship to which the Coral Jumper can attach its elongated arm-like extension. Coralskipper: The Yuuzhan Vong bioengineered fighters are 13 meters long and made of Yurek coral. Their appearance varies, but they all have pointed heads and aerodynamic sides, and are generally triangular in shape similar to the Star Exterminator, with the cockpit made of more mica than transparent steel, and the pilot resembles more of a living knight than a fighter pilot. When attacking, the Coral Jumper approaches the target and "spews" molten rock with flames from a miniature volcano-like appendage in front of it, enough to pass through the fighter, and can also disable the fighter's shields with some sort of magnetic or super gravity field. The way to replenish fuel and armament is to eat the rocks. In the foreground, there is a thumb-sized, multi-striped base that looks like a mismatched heart beating away. In Kuroshio I: Assault, Rogue Squadron suggests that it functions similarly to a small black hole, and also acts as a shield, capable of absorbing proton torpedoes. If the Coral Jumper rapidly rotates around an enemy aircraft, it will distort the opponent's laser with extreme gravity, and the enemy aircraft will not be able to break free of the gravity well until they both crash, although the loss of shields can be avoided by accelerating the inertial compensators. If the fighters fire on a lower energy cycle, the Coral Jumper will have to spend a lot of energy to create a black hole, thus reducing its maneuverability. When Luke and Jason find a group of cultivated Coral Jumpers in Belkadan, a green, leafy vine covers the entire area, leaving a black sandy ring of open space in various places, in the center of which is the initial Coral Jumpers, pointing their noses to the sky. The vine serves to collect solar energy, which is converted to the Coral Jumpers, and the sandy texture is turned black by the influx of nectar from the vine. Randall captures a Coral Jumper in the early stages of the Dubrillion attack and discovers that the pilot is communicating with the ship through what is called a cognitive helmet. When Luke sits in the cockpit and puts on the helmet, he realizes that the helmet is also an organic organism and he can hear war-mad voices coming from inside. Coral jumpers do not fare well in gravitational environments, and they are transported by class carriers. During the Battle of Fondor, the Battle Madness method is to throw the Coral Jumpers directly at the target. Coral Jumpers' weapons do not trigger proton torpedo lock warnings, and flying at full speed sacrifices a fair amount of shield projection from the polygonal base. Yuuzhan Vong Cruiser Analog: A multi-colored coral class cruiser was used to ram the Duro's orbital metropolis during the Duro campaign to disable shields. Three other class cruisers armed in various colors of red and green can release coral ships to capture fleeing refugee ships. Encounter Battle Madness Class Destroyer [Yuuzhan Vong Destroyer Analog]: capable of launching coral jumpers affixed to the outside of its hull. Two class destroyers with Tyrone? One was destroyed by the Idiot's Array and the other was destroyed when the Errant Venture arrived with its X-wing fighters. Yuuzhan Vong Escape Pod: Not much bigger than a land craft, made of black Yurik coral, with a polyhedral transparent canopy, propelled by a multi-stripe base, and using the incompletely developed multi-stripe base as a counter-thrust and altitude control. The Soothfast's Escort III found the Exodo II. Nearby escape pods housed Elan and the former Jedi Vergere. Yuuzhan Vong Gunship Analog: A medium-sized Yuuzhan Vong vessel, often used to escort cruiser-like ships, capable of firing a full volley of plasma. Yuuzhan Vong Spawn Ship: A giant polyhedron, black as onyx. A breeder ship ordered to be sacrificed to deliver Elan and Vergere into the hands of the new **** and... Spiral-Armed Worldship [Spiral-Armed Worldship]: encountered war-mad biochemical engineering vessel. A Runaway Prince, Nas Choka, is taken aboard the Encounter Madness Battleship Yamka when he passes an evil worldship on the way that appears to be a flattened, black glossy jeweled sphere with six spiraling hands protruding from its thick center. Yuuzhan Vong Transport Carrier: A ship used to transport Yuuzhan Vong fighters to the surface of Ithor. This ship expands into a floating object that sprouts into a horn-like protrusion that spews plasma projectiles at incoming fighters. The new **** and call this ship "crates". In the case of the Yuuzhan Vong Flier or the Tsik Vong Flier, the ship is called a "crate". Tsik Vai: A war-mad flying vessel with gills on both sides used in the atmosphere of Avon IV to search for Anakin Sulo. Sulo. Yuuzhan Vong Warship: The main Yuuzhan Vong ship, as long as an Imperial Star Destroyer, but ovoid in shape and much heavier. The surface of the hull is smooth and striped, with glassy black rock and rougher, more rugged sections housing the ship's weapons and multi-striped bases. At the head of the ship are long, large, dark red and dark blue coral arms that run along the sides of the ship's spine to the stern. Coral jumpers are attached to the arms like buds on a plant. Some of the larger unoccupied holes in the arms hold plasma projectors with three valves radiating from the center, which open for a second or two when the plasma is projected, concealing the launch tubes. The ship's multi-textured base creates a unified gravity field that functions as a blockade zone. Worldship: The living Worldship is made of a 10 kilometer chunk of Eureka coral and can carry over 5,000 fighters and supporting coral jumpers. The ship is propelled by a multi-striped base, with tendrils of giant membranous creatures held in place by dozens of Coral Jumpers at the top. When in areas of weak gravitational pull, such as traveling between galaxies, the tendrils can be stretched out to become cosmic sails, utilizing the interstellar winds to propel the ship, and can also be used to land the ship, where the coral jumpers will reverse the tendrils into a semi-circle, allowing the worldship to be positioned at the top. Worldships can carry another giant brown tubular insectoid creature that serves as a lifeline and communication line in icy worlds, extending one end of the worldship into the icy water, which is too warm for the ice to re-form around it. Some of the warring madnesses, like Nen Yim, have lived on worldships their entire lives, like the Baanu Kor. The Baanu Kor. Prior to their arrival in the Star Wars galaxy, there were many battles between the war-mongers over class and realm confusion, resulting in the deaths of many worldships. The continued deaths of worldships led the Shapers to take on the job of keeping them alive. Yorik-Trema Landing Craf: An encounter lander, smaller than a cruiser but larger than a coral jumper. The Yorik-Trema Landing Craf is a squashed ovoid with an incredibly sensitive eye that moves constantly, tracking other ships such as escorting Coral Jumpers. Tsavong Lah stands behind the pilot of the lead landing craft as it travels to the surface of Duro. This vessel has a peeling, regenerative ventral shell that extends its claws to touch the surface as it lands. Mollek worms [Molleung] protrude from the side of the ship to unload passengers.
