Article 35 of the Regulations on the Administration of Medical Insurance stipulates:
The maximum payment amount of the Basic Medical Insurance Co-ordination Fund (for hospitalization expenses) in a year is currently 70,000 yuan.
The standard of reimbursement for hospitalization is related to the level of the hospital where the insured person is staying, for example, if the person is staying in a tertiary hospital, the employee pays 15 per cent of the expenses from the starting standard to 30,000 yuan, or 85 per cent of the reimbursement;
