After the reform and opening up, Zuo Zongshen began to engage in individual motorcycle repair. 1992, Zuo Zongshen with 500,000 yuan to start a motorcycle production enterprise, Zongshen Group is now one of the world's largest motorcycle manufacturers, which owns the first domestic international motorcycle team in this year's international professional competition awards. Zongshen Group also produces motorcycles, high-speed boats and car engines.
In April 2001, Zongshen acquired Chengdu Lianyi, a listed company, and became its largest shareholder.
