Why the Netherlands is the country of water
The Netherlands has a total land area of 41,864 square kilometers, located in the western part of Europe, neighboring Germany to the east and Belgium to the south. West and north of the North Sea, located in the Rhine, Maas River and Skelt River delta, the coastline is 1075 kilometers long. The whole territory for the lowlands, a quarter of the land elevation is not the Netherlands to 1 meter, a quarter of the land below the sea level, the coast has more than 1,800 kilometers of sea dams and embankments.
