There are more than 50 varieties of roses cultivated in Pingyin County, mainly rich roses, purple roses and Pingyin double red roses. Roses are found in 8 towns and streets in the county, with a total area of more than 60,000 acres, forming an industrial belt of rose production base centered on Rose Town, with an annual output of more than 20,000 tons of rose flowers (buds). The China Rose Products Expo and China (Pingyin) Rose Culture Festival will be held in Pingyin, Jinan, from May 10 to May 12, 2008, with 12 exciting activities full of dry goods.
