Crop time is the load time minus the time for mold changes, tool changes, breakdowns, adjustments, and so on. Crop rateis the percentage of time that equipment takes up to create value in the time it can provide.
To increase the yield rate, therefore, it is necessary to reduce the lost time for mold changes, tool changes, breakdowns, and adjustments. If you can reduce these lost times to zero, then you can achieve a 100 percent crop rate.
Composition
The composition of OEE consists of three major indexes: Time Crop Rate (Availability), Performance Crop Rate (Performance Index), and Yield Rate (Quality Index)
OEE=Time Crop Rate x Performance Crop Rate x Yield Rate
(OEE=Availability*Performance*Quality Index)
Time Crop Rate = (Load Time - Downtime) / Load Time - Downtime)/Load Time
Performance Crop Rate=Theoretical Beat Time*Number of Inputs/Crop Time
Yield Rate=(Number of Inputs - Number of Defects)/Number of Inputs
