It can be operated in a variety of ways:
1. The guidewire is inserted along the endoscopic biopsy orifice until it reaches the intended site under the supervision of the endoscope or other auxiliary equipment, with care being taken not to bend the guidewire during insertion. The catheter is introduced along the guidewire. The guidewire can be retained when used.
2. The guidewire is preloaded into the catheter and inserted along the endoscopic biopsy orifice until it reaches the intended site under the supervision of the endoscope or other ancillary equipment. The guidewire may be left in place when used.
3. The guidewire is inserted through a pre-positioned catheter under the supervision of an endoscope or other assistive device. The guidewire can be left in place at the time of use.
