The things you are prohibited from bringing into New Zealand are as follows:
1. Food
1. Any meat, fish and crustacean seafood (including cooked, raw and cold, fresh, preserved, packaged and any dried food).
2. Egg items.
3. Milk, powdered milk, butter, cheese and dairy products for infants.
4. Dried fruits (dried fruit) and dried vegetables, rice and noodles, rice flour, nuts, seeds, unpopped corn, cooking herbs and spices.
II. All seeds needed for planting, including packaged seeds.
Three, all items with plant ingredients or items made from plants, herbs, health care remedies, medical remedies including those containing animal or plant ingredients.
IV. All items of wood, including drums, carvings, spears, and masks; all items made of hair, including hides, pouches, wool that has not yet been treated, and feathers.
V. Clothing used on animals, shoes, such as animal utensils (e.g., tools for cleaning animals), tools for grooming pets, saddles, bird cages, and mallets.
VI. All outdoor gear, camping gear, sporting goods, hiking and other hiking shoes that contain soil, seeds or water (shoes will be processed by the Agriculture and Forestry Division before being obtained).
