The college is rich in teaching resources, strong in faculty strength, and is constantly improving its research level and research capability. The college has nearly 50 clinical internship teaching hospitals in and out of the province, which can meet the needs of clinical teaching and internship. since 1998, the college has undertaken 118 research projects at the provincial level, published 2140 papers, and published more than 100 academic monographs and teaching materials.
The enrollment scale of the college is gradually expanding, with more than 4,500 students currently enrolled, and the college has always regarded the quality of teaching as the "first lifeline". In addition to strengthening undergraduate teaching, the college also encourages students to pursue further education. At present, internal medicine, surgery, physiology and anatomy and other specialties and Huazhong University of Science and Technology Tongji Medical College, Wuhan University Department of Medicine jointly recruit master's degree students. According to incomplete statistics, 18% of the graduates have obtained master's degrees, 5% have obtained doctoral degrees, and some of them have studied abroad and become famous experts and scholars in a certain field.
