Tongling Municipal People's Hospital is a new set of medical treatment, prevention, teaching, research as one of the large-scale general hospital in the south of Anhui Province. 1994, the hospital in the province's municipal general hospitals were the first to be rated as a "third-class B" hospital; in 1995, the hospital was named the national baby-friendly hospital; in 1997, the hospital passed the "third-class A" hospital review. 2002, the hospital successfully passed the Anhui Provincial Department of Health organized the province's third-class general hospital reassessment. In 1997, the hospital passed the evaluation of "Grade 3A" hospital. 2002, the hospital successfully passed the re-evaluation of Grade 3 general hospital organized by Anhui Provincial Department of Health.
Tongling Municipal People's Hospital was founded in August 1953, initially as "China Nonferrous Metals Industry Corporation Tongguanshan Mining Bureau Mining Hospital". 1958 January changed to "Tongling Municipal People's Hospital". The hospital covers an area of more than 80,000 square meters (120 acres), with a total construction area of more than 104,000 square meters (including more than 74,000 square meters of medical rooms). The hospital has an establishment of 620 beds, now the actual opening of 675 beds; in 2004, the hospital outpatient clinic volume of 310,000 times; the annual admission of 17,014 patients; the annual operation of 6,916 times; annual income of more than 140 million yuan.
The hospital has 1,265 employees (including retired: 224), of which 16 are of senior title, 118 are of deputy senior title, and 367 are of intermediate title; according to the actual situation of the hospital, the 35 clinical medical and technical departments set up in the whole hospital basically meet the technical requirements of the Grade 3A hospital. Among them, the ENT department of the hospital was honored as the "Key Municipal Discipline of the Second Cycle of Clinical Medicine in Anhui Province" in 2003; 6 key disciplines of the second cycle of the Municipal Health Bureau: Infectious Diseases, Respiratory Diseases, Cardiology, General Surgery Ⅰ, Ophthalmology, and Medical Imaging (MRI, CT); and 4 key supporting disciplines of the second cycle of the Municipal Health Bureau: Endocrinology, Orthopedics Ⅱ and Bone Ⅱ. Endocrinology, Bone II, Laboratory, Anesthesiology. The hospital now has 382 pieces of medical equipment above 10,000 yuan, of which medical equipment above one million yuan are: nuclear magnetic **** vibration, spiral CT, color fan ultrasound, digital gastrointestinal imaging X-ray machine, X-ray camera, DSA, linear gas pedal, automatic biochemical analyzer.
Since 1985, the hospital has been awarded the title of "civilized unit" and "standard bearer of civilized unit" by the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government in successive years; since 1996, the hospital has been named "standard bearer of civilized unit in Anhui Province" by the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government in successive years. Anhui Provincial Civilized Unit Pacesetter"; in September 1999, the hospital was named by the Central Spiritual Civilization Construction Steering Committee as "National Advanced Unit of Spiritual Civilization Construction"; in October 2000, the hospital party school was identified by the Central Propaganda Department of the **** as the "National Grassroots Party School Contact".
