2022 blood dialysis free policy

Beginning in January of this year 2022, people who participate in the urban workers' health insurance will fully enjoy the reimbursement treatment of outpatient medical insurance, the reimbursement rate from 50% upwards, to go to the third-class hospitals to see the doctor, probably in accordance with the proportion of 50% to be reimbursed, if it is said to go to the second-class hospitals to reimbursement, and even to reach the reimbursement rate of more than 60%. It is clear that the benefits of outpatient treatment will be greater than in the past.

In recent years, the number of hemodialysis patients has continued to grow, and the demand for dialysis services has also increased. In addition, with the implementation of the band purchasing policy, the price of high-value consumables in the hemodialysis category has dropped significantly, bringing concessions to more people on dialysis and will prompt more patients to receive hemodialysis treatment.

On October 25, 2016, the Central Government and the State Council issued the "Healthy China 2030" Planning Outline, which explicitly proposed the development of the health industry, guided the establishment of hemodialysis centers and other professional medical service institutions, strengthened the management of chronic diseases, and promoted the development of the health industry.

On June 4, 2021. With the consent of the State Council, the National Health Insurance Bureau, in conjunction with the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments, issued the Guiding Opinions on Conducting Centralized Banded Purchasing and Use of High-Value Medical Consumables by State Organizations, which provides general specifications and requirements for conducting centralized banded purchasing of high-value medical consumables by state organizations.

The implementation of the banded purchasing policy has lowered the prices at which hospitals purchase dialyzers and other medical consumables, reducing the medical burden on dialysis patients.
