FCVA is known as "Filtered Cathode Vacuum Arc Method", which is a process of pre-cleaning by ion beam etching, FCVA deposition, magnetron sputtering deposition, and forming a layer of ta-C (amorphous tetrahedral carbon thin film) diamond thin film on the surface of the substrate material, which can make the substrate material or parts with Ultra-high wear resistance, ultra-low coefficient of friction, excellent heat insulation and oxidation resistance, improved hardness, improved acid resistance, blocking diffusion, beautifying the appearance, etc., which can make the life of the parts or products, the quality of a substantial increase in the reduction of machine downtime, shorten the cycle time, and reduce the cost of production.
FCVA's patented technology is applicable to the surface coating treatment of metals, ceramics, glass and plastics. Widely used in the semiconductor industry, sliding machine parts and moving mold parts, high-speed carbon alloy drills, milling cutters and stamping molds, wear-resistant parts, medical equipment, and processing of glass, plastics, multicarbon compounds, acrylic and other cutting tools, beverage plastic bottles or caps of the dense protection.FCVA patented technology in the conventional tooling applications: milling cutters coated with ta-C diamond film, milling cutters, turning tools, cutters, etc. coated with ta-C diamond film are able to improve the quality of workpieces when machining materials such as aluminum, copper (or alloys), graphite, etc., even at cutting speeds much higher than normal. Since its establishment, Nuffnang has received the following awards, honors and certificates: more than 50 international patents for FCVA-related technologies and applications; 1997 Asean Engineering Excellence Award; 2000 Singapore National Science and Technology Award (presented by the former Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Tan Keng Yam); 2001 Singapore National Science and Technology Award (presented by the former Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Tan Keng Yam); 2001 Singapore National Science and Technology Award (presented by the former Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Tan Keng Yam). 2001 Prime Minister's Innovation Award (presented by former Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong); 2002 Deloitte&Touche's "Asia's Fastest Growing 250". 2007, 2008, 2009, Singapore SME 500.
