The discipline direction is based on mining engineering, safety technology and engineering, and gradually extends to industrial safety and disaster prevention and mitigation, theory and method of geological disasters, mine disaster prevention and mitigation, and underground engineering disaster prevention and mitigation. Over the years, the discipline has carried out a lot of theoretical and practical research on disaster prevention and mitigation, and gradually established an academic team with reasonable knowledge structure, high academic level and strong life years. This discipline has successively undertaken 3 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, 3 projects of the Science and Technology Department of Jiangxi Province, and more than one project 10 entrusted by local governments and enterprises, with an average annual research funding of more than 700,000 yuan, and many projects have won national or provincial-level science and technology awards.
