ICU is mainly admitted to:
①Serious trauma, major surgery and must be continuous close monitoring of life indicators and supporters;
② need cardiopulmonary resuscitation patients;
③ organ (including heart, brain, lung, liver, kidney) failure or multi-organ failure;
④ severe shock, sepsis and poisoning patients
⑤Those who need to be monitored and strengthened treatment before and after organ transplantation. After the condition improves, they are transferred back to the general ward.
It is my personal opinion (non-medical) that patients in ordinary coma do not need to be admitted to ICU
