Shanghai Huangshan Tea Forest is under the jurisdiction of the Shanghai Municipality, so a number of young people from Shanghai have come here one after another to struggle for their lives and to take root in the countryside. At its peak after 1968, there were more than 10,000 Shanghainese working and living in Shanghai Huangshan Tea Plantation in Anhui Province, known as "10,000 intellectuals, 100,000 Dashan".
