EMC test also known as Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) full name is Electro Magnetic Compatibility, refers to the electronic products in the electromagnetic field interference in terms of the size of the interference (EMI) and the ability to resist interference (EMS). EMS is a comprehensive evaluation of product quality, one of the important indicators of product quality, electromagnetic compatibility measurement by the test site and test equipment.
1) Electrostatic discharge immunity (ESD).
The test is based on the standard IEC 61000-4-2 Criteria B, the purpose of the test is to test the ability of a single device or system to resist electrostatic discharge interference.
Test principle: ESD test is to simulate the human body, objects in contact with equipment generated by electrostatic discharge or human body, objects on neighboring objects discharge including direct exchange of energy through the device damage or discharge caused by the near field (electric and magnetic field changes), resulting in equipment malfunction.
2) radiated electromagnetic field (80MHz ~ 1000 MHz) immunity (RS).
The test is based on the standard IEC 61000-4-3 Criteria A. The purpose of the test is to examine the ability of an individual device or system to resist electric field interference.
EMC Test Purpose:
To detect the effects of electromagnetic radiation generated by electrical products on the human body, the public **** grid, and other electrical products in normal operation. It is defined as "equipment and systems in its electromagnetic environment can work normally and does not constitute any thing in the environment can not withstand the electromagnetic harassment of the ability" the definition contains two aspects of the meaning.
First, the device should be able to work normally in a certain electromagnetic environment, that is, the device should have a certain degree of electromagnetic immunity (EMS); Second, the device itself produces electromagnetic harassment can not produce excessive impact on other electronic products, that is, electromagnetic interference (EMI).
