Brief history of infusion bottle development

In the 1960s, foreign countries began to use PP or PE plastic bottles with good chemical stability, excellent air tightness and high temperature resistance to subpackage large infusions, which improved the packaging quality and shelf life of drugs. However, plastic bottle infusion still needs to form an air loop to drip out the liquid medicine, and particles and bacteria in the air can still enter the liquid medicine through the air loop, so the probability of secondary pollution is still high, and the potential harm to human health still exists. In order to solve this problem, PVC soft bag infusion came into being. In the process of using soft bag infusion, the liquid medicine can be forced to drip out by its own tension, and an air loop will not be formed, which greatly reduces the probability of secondary pollution. However, plasticizer (DEHP) is added to PVC material to change its properties during polymerization. The research shows that a small amount of DEHP may be dissolved in PVC soft bags, and DEHP is a harmful substance, which seriously harms human health. Secondly, PVC soft bags are thick in texture, which is not conducive to processing. It has high permeability to oxygen and water vapor, poor temperature adaptability, easy deformation after high temperature sterilization and poor tensile strength. These defects seriously limit its development in infusion packaging. In this case, polyolefin multilayer extrusion film (non-PVC film) came into being. In 1990s, non-PVC multilayer extruded films were successfully developed internationally. The structure and strictly controlled production process of polyolefin multilayer extrusion film determine that it not only has all the advantages of glass bottles, plastic bottles and PVC films, but also has no toxic and side effects on human body, and is an ideal packaging material for infusion products.

—— The film material is extruded by multi-layer cross-linking and does not contain adhesive and plasticizer. Clean air with air cleanliness of 100 is used for film blowing, and the cylindrical film is discharged to avoid pollution and ensure safe use.

-The film material has good heat sealing performance. Suitable for all kinds of filling equipment and interfaces, with good elasticity, fall resistance, high temperature resistance, 1200C sterilization and good light transmittance.

The membrane material has inert biochemical characteristics, good barrier performance to water vapor, oxygen and nitrogen, convenient for long-term storage, and is suitable for filling various electrolyte infusions, nutritional infusions and therapeutic infusions.

-The film material contains no chloride, which is harmless to human body and has no impact on the environment when it is treated after use. It is called "2 1 century environmental protection packaging material".

Non-PVC membrane infusion replaces large infusion packed with glass bottles, plastic bottles and PVC membranes, which obviously improves the quality of drug packaging, reduces the environmental pollution caused by packaging during production and after use, avoids the possibility of secondary pollution during medication, ensures the drug safety of the whole society and enhances the international competitiveness of China's infusion products.
