Yangling District, situated in the hinterland of the Guanzhong Plain, is bounded by the Lac-Shui River with Wugong County to the east, and by the Wei River with Zhouzhi County, north by the river and Fufeng County adjacent to the west and Fufeng County border. The east and west are each 90 kilometers from Xi'an and Baoji.
Political history In the ancient Huangdi era, the district belonged to Qibo and Tai State.
