A, calcium carbide production process

After being crushed and screened, quicklime is sent to lime storage. Lime and coke that meet the requirements of calcium carbide production are mixed according to the specified proportion, and the burden is sent to the top bin of the electric furnace by a bucket elevator, enters the electric furnace through a charging pipe, and is generated in the electric furnace through the resistance thermal reaction between the electrode arc pad and the burden.

The calcium carbide is taken out of the furnace regularly, put into a calcium carbide pot, cooled and crushed into a certain required particle size specification to obtain the finished electric stone pot. In calcium carbide furnace, the heat generated by arc and resistance heats the charge to 1900-2200℃, and the general chemical reaction formula is: CaO+3C=CaC2+CO+ 10800 kcal.

Second, the calcium carbide furnace production process

1, batching, feeding and top distribution

Qualified raw materials are measured and mixed by the raw material processing workshop, and then sent to the silo of the electric furnace workshop by the bucket elevator, and then sent to the annular silo of the top of the furnace by the top distribution facilities, fixed belt conveyor and annular distributor. The furnace top distribution facility distributes the burden to the silo as required, and the burden is added to the electric furnace in batches through the charging pipe of the electric furnace.

2. Electric furnace

Semi-closed calcium carbide furnace is composed of furnace body, furnace cover, electrode base, electrode extrusion device and electrode lifting device, which is the main equipment for producing calcium carbide. The electric furnace is powered by a transformer, and the charge reacts at high temperature in the electric furnace to generate calcium carbide and release carbon monoxide gas. The generated calcium carbide is discharged from the furnace outlet, and the furnace outlet is opened by a burner, so that the melted calcium carbide flows into the electric stone pot on the cooling car.

The pressing and releasing of the electrode is controlled by oil pressure. Support the lifting electrode cone-ring oil cylinder with a single-layer oil cylinder to press the conductive jaw. The normal lifting of the electrode is controlled by three hoists on the fourth floor, and the lifting, pressing, holding and unloading of the electrode are controlled by buttons in the operation room on the second floor.

3, electric furnace cooling, crushing and packaging

The melted calcium carbide is pulled to the corridor or packaging room by the trolley in the electric stone pot for cooling. After the calcium carbide is solidified, it is hoisted out by a bridge crane and a single clamp and cooled on the cast iron floor. After cooling to a moderate degree, the calcium carbide is crushed to a qualified particle size, then packaged in equal parts and sent to the finished product warehouse.
