The Prospect Industry Research Institute believes that in the face of the challenge of "big data", hospitals must consider three major issues.
(1) Is data storage safe and reliable? Because once the system fails, the first test is the data storage, disaster recovery and recovery capabilities. If the data can not be quickly recovered, and recovery can not be to the breakpoint, it will constitute a direct damage to the hospital's business, patient satisfaction.
(2) How to improve the efficiency of hospital operations and services? Improving efficiency means saving doctors' time, thus easing the tension in medical resources, and to a certain extent helping to solve the problem of "difficult to see the doctor".
(3) How to control the cost of big data? Whether the storage architecture is reasonable, not only affects the cost of the hospital IT system, but also about the hospital's operating costs, the surge in medical data, so that hospitals generally have a large storage capacity expansion pressure. Today, most of the storage devices in hospitals are completely heterogeneous storage systems composed of different vendors. These different storage devices are controlled and managed using their own different software tools, which increases the complexity of the entire system and makes management costs very high.
