Medical resources, by 2020, the total number of beds in Tongzhou District medical institutions will reach 12,000, realizing 6.35 per 1,000 population. Third-rate hospitals such as Anzhen Hospital, Youyi Hospital and Capital Pediatrics Research Institute will be located in Tongzhou.
Chen Zhiguo, former research director of the China Headquarters Economy Research Center of the Beijing Academy of Social Sciences, said the Xiongan New Area will be a well-balanced new city that will need higher medical, educational and other supporting facilities in addition to more specialized resources.
However, he argued that in terms of layout, the allocation of public **** services in Xiongan New Area is not in competition with those related to Tongzhou, the city's subcenter.
In his view, the two places will be misaligned in terms of development stages and arrangements. The two places are actually settled in different groups, the corresponding support is different. At present, Tongzhou has landed a lot of education and medical resources, Beijing has a lot of colleges and medical resources, service resources will follow the population and regional demand, Xiong'an New Area of education and health care and other ancillary facilities will have a cultivation, gradual development process.
