Macao University of Science and Technology (MUST) is the first internationalized comprehensive research university approved by the SAR government to be founded after the return of Macao to the motherland; in December 2020, the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government announced that MUST would set up the Zhuhai Campus of the Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST); and in September 2021, the "Construction of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone", issued by the Central Government of the PRC **** and the State Council Overall Program" specifies the high standard construction of an industry-academia-research demonstration base of Macao University of Science and Technology.

The KU Hospital, located on the university campus, provides 24-hour medical support for students.
