Shanxi Red Cross Stomatological Hospital was founded in 1956. The main hospital outpatient building covers an area of 6,000 square meters. There are oral medicine, oral surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics, oral imaging, children's dentistry-preventive health care and other oral specialty departments, and there is a large dental technician processing center, of which prosthodontics and orthodontics by the Taiyuan Municipal Bureau of Health and Science and Technology Bureau of Taiyuan City as a key medical disciplines, the hospital in 2002 by the Shanxi Workers' College of Medicine designated as a teaching hospital for stomatology. In 2002, the hospital was designated as a dental teaching hospital by Shanxi Workers' Medical College. The hospital implements a chain business model, with five outpatient clinics in Taiyuan City and a branch hospital in Datong City, Shanxi Province. The hospital has a staff of nearly 400, of which more than 90% are health care workers.
The hospital currently*** has more than 80 comprehensive dental treatment chairs, has Siemens digital surface tomography X-ray machine, pure titanium casting machine, precision grinding instrument, Camlog implant system and other advanced oral diagnostic and treatment equipment, and the first in the province to introduce dental operating microscope. With the advent of the information age, the hospital has built its own LAN platform, taken the lead in digitalizing dental images in the General Hospital and started the construction of the hospital information management system.
Technically, we have carried out magnetic fixation restorations, precision attachment restorations, double-set crown restorations, computerized all-ceramic restorations, and implant restorations in restorations; we have carried out fine endodontics and microscopic endodontics in oral treatment; we have carried out lingual orthodontics and invisible orthodontics without brackets in orthodontics, and we have developed our own lingual orthodontic appliances suitable for Chinese people.
