History of Qingdao Municipal Hospital

Qingdao Municipal Hospital was founded in 1916 and has a deep history and good social reputation. During the first Japanese invasion of Qingdao, the Yezakura-cho branch hospital and Hai Po-cho branch hospital were merged and called Xin-cho branch hospital, which was the predecessor of the municipal hospital. Later, Japan built a new Puji Hospital (today's Green Garden) next to the new town hospital; in 1921, Puji Hospital and the new town branch merged and was renamed as the Puji Hospital of Jiao'ao commercial port; in January 1931, the hospital was named Qingdao Municipal Hospital.
