According to the circular, in line with the principle of being responsible for history, the people and the deceased, in order to ensure the transparency and accuracy of COVID-19 epidemic information in the whole city, Wuhan COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters set up an epidemic-related big data and epidemiological investigation team to organize municipal health, disease control, public security, civil affairs, justice, statistics and other departments.
In Wuhan big data information system for epidemic prevention and control, city funeral information system, city COVID-19 medical administration information system, and city COVID-19 virus nucleic acid detection system, online case comparison, de-duplication and completion were carried out, and offline data of all epidemic-related sites were collected according to the requirements of full coverage and no omission.
Including fever clinics, hospitals, shelters, isolation points, communities related to the epidemic, prisons, old-age care institutions and other special places under the jurisdiction of public security, justice, civil affairs and other departments, the personal information of all cases is collected and checked one by one through medical institutions, street communities, grassroots police stations, patients' units and their families.
The reasons for the data difference also include the serious shortage of nucleic acid detection and treatment ability in the early stage of the epidemic. With the increase of beds and the development of two rounds of large-scale investigation, by February 20th, the number of designated hospitals increased from 2 to 48, and new hospice hospitals 16 were built, which initially realized that all accounts receivable were in place. Before February 20, due to the shortage of hospital beds, some confirmed patients failed to go to the hospital for treatment and death in time, and a few medical institutions failed to connect with the disease prevention and control information system in the early stage of the epidemic.
More and more medical institutions are involved in treating patients, including subordinate, provincial, municipal and district hospitals, enterprises, private hospitals and hospice hospitals. The epidemic information report can't keep up with the expansion of medical institutions. In addition, there are still problems in the public health statistics system.
