I was born and raised in Zhoukou, and I have witnessed the changes in Zhoukou in recent years.
? One of the changes is that there are more public toilets and they are cleaner. I remember a few years ago, there was a public toilet on Gongnong Road in the streets and alleys of Zhoukou, and the pungent smell from far away was nauseating. My father often said: "It costs money to go to the toilet, but it costs your life to go to the toilet in Zhoukou." Therefore, when people are in a hurry, they can only solve it in the flower belts on the roadside, causing the environment in Zhoukou to get worse and worse. Since the establishment of a civilized and hygienic city in the past two years, there have been more public toilets, one-star, two-star, and five-star, which flush by induction without pressing the hands. The internal facilities of the toilet are more user-friendly, including baby care tables for children and disabled people; some public toilets are even more powerful, combining the post station and the toilet together, with toilets inside and medical kits, drinking fountains, weight scales, newspaper columns outside... …Humanized facilities have been recognized by citizens, and people who use them take better care of public toilets.
Change 2: The bridge is wider, more numerous, and more beautiful. From west to east, there are Dazha Road Bridge, Zhongzhou Road Bridge, and Daqing Road Bridge. These bridges are quite old and have a load capacity of only 12 tons. There is a folk saying: "When people go up the bridge, they go under the bridge, and when they go up the bridge at Zhoukou, it turns into a spring instantly." Today's bridges are spacious and bright. The newly repaired Zhongyuan Road Bridge separates people and vehicles, and there are glass sightseeing belts on both sides. At night, it is like a bright moon shining on the ancient city.
? Changes in the third street garden. In the memory of us Zhoukou people, the green plants in Zhoukou are dieffenbachia. The dust rises and is covered with a thick layer. The effect of beautifying the environment is not seen. When I walked to the streets today, I saw a variety of gardens that gave people a beautiful visual beauty. The elderly exercise here, children play here, young people can go on dates, and passers-by take a rest when they are tired, not to mention how comfortable it is.
I look forward to greater changes in Zhoukou!
