As equipped, the vehicle has a wireless charging system in a storage box behind the temperature control system. The system can wirelessly charge a Qi-compliant mobile device.
Special note:
Wireless charging can affect the operation of implantable pacemakers or other medical devices. If you wear such a device, it is recommended that you consult a physician before using a wireless charging system.
The vehicle must be in Ignition/Run, Accessory Power, or Retained Accessory Power (RAP) mode. The wireless charging feature may not accurately indicate charging when the vehicle is in RAP mode.
The charging system operates at temperatures from -20°C to 60°C, while the cellular phone operates at temperatures from 0°C to 35°C.
Special note:
Remove all metal objects from the charging pad before charging your mobile device. Metal objects (such as coins, keys, rings, or paper clips) between the phone and the charging pad will become very hot. In the unlikely event that the charging system fails to detect a metal object wedged between your phone and the charger, remove your phone first and wait for the metal object to cool before removing it from the charging pad to prevent burnout.
To charge your mobile device:
1. Open the temperature control system panel.
2. Remove all items from the charging pad. If there are any items on the charging pad, the system may not be able to charge.
3. Place the mobile device above the @ symbol on the charging pad, face up.
4. Slowly move the mobile device until a lightning bolt icon is displayed on the infotainment screen, indicating that the mobile device is correctly placed and charging.
Always close the storage box while driving.
