Winners of China National Science and Technology Award in 2008 and their main deeds

The winner of the highest science and technology award in China in 2008 was awarded in 2009. In 2008 and 2007, the highest national science and technology award was awarded to the famous botanist Wu Zhengyi and petrochemical catalyst expert Min Enze.

Chengdu, Sichuan. 1946 graduated from the Department of Chemical Engineering of Central University. 195 1 received a doctorate from Ohio state university. 1980 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Sciences. 1993 was elected as an academician of the Third World Academy of Sciences. 1994 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Engineering. Director and Senior Engineer of Academic Committee of sinopec group Institute of Petrochemical Technology. Wu Zhengyi (19 16-), 19 16, from Jiujiang, Jiangxi. Originally from Shexian County, Anhui Province, Yizheng, Jiangsu Province. He grew up in Yangzhou. Academician of China Academy of Sciences, a famous botanist with international reputation in China, and an authoritative scholar in flora research, has been engaged in plant science research for more than 60 years, and is good at plant taxonomic geography and medicinal botany. 1937 graduated from Tsinghua University, 1940- 1942 graduated from Peking University science college, and studied under professor Zhang Jingyue, head of the department of biology in Peking University. Professor Zhang Jingyue is a pioneer of plant morphology and plant systematics in China. Wu Zhengyi, 65438-0950, researcher and deputy director of Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. 1955 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Sciences (an academician of China Academy of Sciences), and 1979 was elected as a member of the presidium of China Academy of Sciences. 65438-0958 served as director of Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and 65438-0979 served as president of Kunming Branch of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Later, he served as deputy director of Yunnan Science and Technology Commission and chairman of Yunnan Association for Science and Technology. He is currently a senior academician of China Academy of Sciences, honorary director and researcher of Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and editor-in-chief of Flora of China (Chinese and English version). 1980 Up to now, he is a lifelong foreign member of the American Botanical Society, an honorary member of the Swedish Botanical Geography Society and a correspondent member of the former Soviet Botanical Society. 1997 was elected director of ISCN of the World Conservation Society. On June 8th, 2008, 65438, Academician Wu Zhengyi won the highest national science and technology award in 2007.
