1 sec-finishing
Because sorting is to discard unnecessary things, it is necessary here.
In lean production industry, items are usually classified according to their frequency of use. Items that need to be used frequently should be placed on site, close to the workstation, and easy to take. Those that are not often used are kept by the team or returned to the warehouse, and those that are never used are scrapped and sold. By sorting, only useful items are kept on site.
Second s- rectification
Rectification means that the items left at the scene can be found immediately. The premise of finding an item immediately is that the item has a fixed place, otherwise it is difficult to achieve this goal immediately. If you want to fix the place, you must determine the location of these items by some methods. Common identification methods include signboards, regional lines, colors and traces of articles. Through the application of these identification methods, we can quickly know where to find what we need.
Where should these items be put back after use, so as to ensure that the location of the items remains unchanged and facilitate the use of others. Some other management methods-quantitative and constant (which may be related to 5S quality management) are derived from fixed position. Quantification refers to the number of fixed items, which can be tools, products and raw materials. The purpose of fixing the quantity is to make the inventory work easier and faster;
Moreover, the abnormality in quantity is obvious at a glance, and more importantly, after the quantity is fixed, the occurrence of overproduction or overproduction in manufacturing industry can be reduced. Constant volume refers to a fixed container, because the container is specially designed, which can easily prevent the product from bumping and quantifying.
Third cleaning
The purpose of cleaning is to ensure that the site is clean and tidy, and a clean and tidy site will make the first two S better used. We can simulate a working environment in our brain: fix objects with marking lines and distinguish the containers of objects with colors, but there are a lot of oil stains and dust on the scene, which makes the marking lines, signs and color codes on the production site hidden;
The results of the first two s are naturally covered up, and the effects of the first two s cannot be reflected, so cleaning up can make the first two s get better application. Clean construction site and clean working environment can not only promote the first two S's, but also make employees feel happy and develop good working habits (environment can change people's habits). In addition, if the site is clean, the quality of the manufactured products can be guaranteed and the stability of the equipment can be maintained.
4s- cleaning
The purpose of cleaning up is to make the work of the first three S continue to advance and avoid active management. In order to make the work sustainable, it is necessary to formulate "legal documents" of enterprises-that is, to formulate standards/systems, etc. To put it more bluntly, it is to carry out standardization work.
1. Form the work content of the first 3s into a written standard, so that the work experience can be accumulated and passed on;
2. The supervision, inspection and evaluation standards of the first three S are used to evaluate and measure the work effect, thus linking the development of 5S management with the performance of the enterprise, attracting the attention of all employees and forming a good 5S promotion guarantee mechanism.
Stage 5-Literacy
Literacy is actually the long-term improvement of the first four s, which makes employees form certain habits. The best measure of this habit is whether employees will voluntarily abide by these standards if they are abolished in 5S. If they will continue to abide by it, it means that employees have developed good 5S habits. Failure to comply means that employees have not formed literacy. In fact, literacy is a good habit. For example, if no one asks you before going to bed every day, you will spontaneously wash yourself. This is literacy!
For enterprises, through the promotion of the first four S's, management and standards have become the working habits of employees. No one asks employees, and employees will naturally carry it out to the letter, which is an essential change in their thinking. Bian Xiao believes that this can be called "the inertia of management".
