1 Hazards to the environment and human beings caused by littering of used batteries and expired medicines: Heavy metals contained in used batteries are extremely harmful to human beings. Such as lead, mercury, cadmium and so on. If not seriously recycled through various ways into the groundwater, river indirectly into the human body, will damage the human nervous system; hematopoietic function. Expired medicines thrown away indiscriminately will also penetrate into the groundwater, also very harmful to the environment and human beings.2 Usual family knowledge of the hazards of used batteries and expired medicines and the handling of the situation: 85% of the families on the hazards of used batteries and expired medicines thrown away is relatively well understood, but some family members do not understand, they usually throw away used batteries and expired medicines. Especially some elderly people are not aware of it. Many people understand the harm, but they don't know how to dispose of used batteries and expired medicines, so they have to dispose of them together with their daily life garbage. o(︶︶)o3 How should we publicize the knowledge of disposal and dispose of these items. The first thing you should do is to publicize and educate the public about the dangers of used batteries and expired medicines and the knowledge of how to deal with them. It is best to have one leaflet per household. Then set up recycling bins in the community, vegetable farms and other places. Let us all consciously deal with waste batteries and expired drugs, so that waste batteries and expired drugs do not bring us harm to the environment, food and life.
