What is solid-state hard disk and its advantages over mechanical hard disk?
Solid-state hard disk is called hard disk for short. Solid-state hard disk is a hard disk made of solid-state electronic memory chip array, which consists of control unit and storage unit (FLASH chip and DRAM chip). Solid-state hard disk is exactly the same as ordinary hard disk in terms of interface, function and usage, and the product shape and size are also exactly the same as ordinary hard disk. Widely used in military, vehicle, industrial control, video monitoring, network monitoring, network terminals, electric power, medical care, aviation, navigation equipment and other fields. The working temperature range of the chip is very wide, including commercial products (0~70℃) and industrial products (-40~85℃). Although the cost is high, it is gradually spreading to DIY market. Because solid-state hard disk technology is different from traditional hard disk technology, there are many emerging memory manufacturers. Manufacturers only need to buy NAND memory and cooperate with appropriate control chips to manufacture solid-state hard disks.
Data storage speed:? Under the same configuration of the computer, the reading speed of the gold-speed solid-state hard disk can basically be around 500MB/s, while that of the mechanical hard disk is within 150MB/s/s, so the speed difference will obviously improve the response speed of the computer.
Shock resistance and fall resistance: Traditional hard disks (ATA or SATA) are disk-type, and data is stored in disk sectors. However, the solid-state disk is composed of flash particles, so there are no mechanical parts inside the SSD of the gold-speed solid-state disk, which will not affect the normal use, especially in the notebook, even if it moves at high speed or even tilts over.
Power consumption: It is also because many mechanical parts are missing, so the power consumption of SSD is better than that of traditional mechanical HDD.
Weight: SSD is lighter, dozens of grams lighter than conventional 2.5-inch HDD.
Noise: Because the solid-state hard disk has no mechanical parts and flash memory chips, it has the characteristics of low calorific value and fast heat dissipation, and there is no mechanical motor and fan, so it is very quiet when working, and the noise value is 0 dB, which makes the traditional mechanical hard disk inferior.
