Camera, also known as computer camera, computer eye and electronic eye, is a kind of video input equipment, which is widely used in video conferencing, telemedicine, real-time monitoring and other fields. Ordinary people can also have video and audio conversations and communicate with each other on the Internet through the camera.
What does the red light on the camera mean?
1 stands for power indicator or night vision infrared fill light.
2. The first case is the power indicator light of the camera, which will light up after the camera is powered on, indicating that the power supply of the camera is successful. If the camera is normal, it is a selfie.
3. The other is the night vision infrared fill light inside the camera. This means that the internal infrared fill light will light up at night or when the surrounding light is very dark, which also means that the camera is in working condition.
The misunderstanding of camera purchase is as follows:
Selection of pixel height
Generally speaking, the higher the pixel value, the stronger the image resolution. At present, the pixels of mainstream camera products are around 300,000 to 380,000, but it does not mean that cameras with high pixels are better than those with low pixels.
The highest resolution of a general camera is 640X480, and the highest pixel is 307200. If the camera increases pixels, the resolution is generally improved by digital interpolation, which is tantamount to fraud, and there is no improvement in definition and image quality; On the other hand, if we want to improve the image quality and resolution, the amount of data will increase geometrically, not only the data transmission speed of USB protocol can't keep up, but also the network data transmission can't keep up.
Selection of CCD and CMOS
There are two kinds of photosensitive elements in the camera: CCD and CMOS. CCD imaging has high pixels, high definition and high color reproduction coefficient, but its price is more than half that of COMS. CMOS is low in price, low in power consumption and fast in response, but in fact, the difference between them is very small, and the pixels of the camera itself are relatively low, so there is almost no difference between CCD and CMOS in the imaging effect of the camera, which is influenced by other factors of the camera.
Selection of lens materials
Nowadays, camera lenses are made of glass and plastic. Plastic lenses are cheap, but the imaging effect is obviously worse than glass. The cameras with better quality are all 4-layer glass cameras (4G for short) and even 5G cameras. In fact, a layer of iris is added on the basis of 4G to enhance the filtering performance. However, different 4G glass lenses differ greatly in quality, price and imaging effect. How to identify them? Simply put, it can be identified by the luminous flux of the glass lens. The luminous flux of the lens is expressed by f value. The smaller the F value, the more light passing through the lens, the more saturated the imaging color and the better the lens. Therefore, when choosing a lens, the luminous flux f value should be relatively small.
