The tourist sightseeing train of Qinghai-Tibet Railway is the most advanced one in China, the sleeping car is equipped with private rooms with bathing facilities, and the dining car provides catering service. There are spacious glass and comfortable seats on the sightseeing cars, and the interior decoration of the coaches is both luxurious and modern, and fully shows the ethnic customs of the Qinghai-Tibet region, so that travelers can enjoy the scenery along the line. In addition to the oxygen supply equipment, the buses are also equipped with medical personnel, instruments and medicines, so as to establish a life-support system for tourists. The completed Qinghai-Tibet Railway will also use infrared monitoring system to achieve unmanned operation in the plateau section and maintain all-weather operation. The relevant person in charge of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway Company said that after the speed up of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway section from Xining to Golmud, the running time of the passenger trains in and out of Tibet and the passenger trains from Golmud to Golmud is compressed by an average of 1 hour and 20 minutes, which greatly shortens the travel time of the passengers and improves the transportation capacity of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway at the same time.
