Basic conditions
Article 6 The Department of Critical Care Medicine shall have places, equipment, facilities and personnel conditions appropriate to its functions and tasks.
Article 7 The Department of Intensive Care Medicine must be equipped with a sufficient number of medical and nursing personnel who have received specialized training, have mastered the basic concepts, basic knowledge and basic operating techniques of intensive care medicine, and have the ability to work independently. Among them, the number of physicians and the number of beds should be 0.8:1 or more, the number of nurses and the number of beds should be 3:1 or more; according to the need to have an appropriate number of medical auxiliary personnel, hospitals can also be equipped with the relevant equipment technology and maintenance personnel.
Article VIII of the Department of Intensive Care Medicine shall be equipped with at least one physician with associate degree or above professional and technical qualifications as the director, fully responsible for medical care and quality construction.
The head nurse of the Department of Critical Care Medicine shall have the qualification of intermediate or above professional and technical positions, and work in the field of intensive care for more than 3 years, with certain management ability.
Article 9 The Department of Intensive Care Medicine must be equipped with the necessary monitoring and treatment equipment to ensure the rescue and treatment of critically ill patients.
Article 10 The relevant departments of the hospital should have sufficient technical support capabilities, and be able to readily provide the Department of Intensive Care Medicine with bedside ultrasound, blood purifier, X-ray film and other imaging, as well as biochemistry and bacteriology and other laboratory tests.
Article 11 The number of beds in the Department of Critical Care Medicine should be in line with the hospital's functional tasks and the actual admission and treatment of critically ill patients, the number of beds in the Department of Critical Care Medicine of a tertiary general hospital for the total number of hospital beds of 2%-8%, the bed utilization rate of 75% is appropriate, the annual bed utilization rate of an average of more than 85% should be moderately expand the scale. Critical care medicine should be kept at least l empty beds every day for emergency use.
Article XII of the Department of Intensive Care Medicine, each bed using an area of not less than 15 square meters, the bed spacing is greater than 1 meter; each ward is equipped with at least one single-room wards, the use of an area of not less than 18 square meters, used for the admission and treatment of isolation patients.
Article XIII of the Department of Intensive Care Medicine is located in the region to facilitate the transfer of patients, examination and treatment, and should be close to the operating room, medical imaging, laboratory and blood transfusion (blood bank).
