Lichuan, a county-level city, is part of Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. It is located in the southwestern part of China's Hubei Province, on the upper reaches of the Qingjiang River, neighboring Chongqing Municipality, near the Yangtze River. In the north is the Lizhong Basin, where the Qingjiang River crosses the Lizhong Basin from west to east, and the Pingchuan Dam and mountainous hills are set on both sides of the river. Because the land is fertile and rich in produce, it is a favorable river, so it is called "Lichuan". Surrounded by Qiyue Mountain, Hanchi Mountain, Shibanling, Horsehair Ridge, Ma Shan, Zhongling Mountain, Ganxi Mountain, Fubao Mountain. East and West 92 kilometers wide, 105 kilometers long north and south, with a total area of 4602.1 square kilometers.
